We love what we do and this is down to the clients we work with and the team of people / characters who make up Ink Creations. If you would like to talk to us about previous work carried out or future projects we could help you with then please get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.
helen 10 years experience in the web design industry and I still love it. I started off with BT Technology and Innovation, as they were called back then, as a contractor. They needed an intranet site and I was asked to create it. No experience, no knowledge, I thought I was in trouble. This triggered my passion for good design, great functionality to fit a purpose. Some of the guys here call me a felt tip fairy. I've worked on 100's of web sites over the last 10 years. I've run a marketing department and been the junior designer of large corporation. I've worked my way up the ladder. Now I run the creative side to Ink Creations, it's great and I really am lucky. For the record I also earned my gold swimming badge and made my mum sew a number of badges onto the sleeves of my brownie uniform, admittedly that is a number of years ago now.
tonyI started off in the CADCAM software arena after leaving University. In the positions I held in a couple of companies, I managed to cut my teeth on software development and consultancy (ouch!) and before long I was a partner in a successful 3D design software consultancy, heading up a small technical team. Starting off with developing add-on tools for a US based CAD system using Visual Basic, this soon evolved into looking at web technologies and web applications. Since then, I haven't looked back and now enjoy the freedom and flexibility of being able to get my hands on new tools and technology which is the future of computer application development. I also love scuba diving and water skiing so I'm not a complete geek, I have a fun side to me as well.
adamFor the record I came first in my first go-kart race at the Three Sisters racetrack near Wigan. The guys I work with call themselves nerds, but me and my partner built a cardboard space capsule in our spare room last November, and that's as nerdy as it gets.
I've spent a significant amount of time developing the T-Spy web site; a free kids site full of fun games and activities but also full of useful information helping them learn. I built this to help stretch my web site design abilities. I was also the Senior Designer then Creative Manager for Birthdays overseeing design and controlling branding on Point Of Sale and packaging, and some trend work for buying department. I have also completed illustration work mostly through Linda Rogers Associates agency where I did a lot of children's illustration work for the Gold Stars series of books, a Halloween book for M&S and an animated Flash e-greetings for the birthdays.co.uk web site.
billThe proof is in the pudding with SEO. All the clients I've worked with were nowhere to be found in the Search Engines before I waved my magic wand (or before I started the hard work in researching and formulizing the meta data).
There are loads of sites that I am really proud of, but thought I would look too much like a nerd naming all of them. It's difficult to come up with something witty when put on the spot. I like the Beatles, the occasional glass of red wine and sip of whiskey, obviously not in the same glass. Oh and I like cheese and chocolate cake too.

We have extensive knowledge of XHTML & CSS 2.0 web standards, accessibility, and usability practices. We build all of our sites to comply with WCAG guidelines.
Our experience also covers many different coding and scripting technologies including ASP, ASP.Net, PHP, Javascript, AJAX, plus database experience with MS SQL Server 2000/2005, My SQL & XML with XSL for data transformation.
